Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Hollywood FL

The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Hollywood FL is located just outside of Ft. Lauderdale in Broward County. Broward is known as Florida's gaming capital since it is home to the most casinos in the state. The Hard Rock Hollywood ranks at the top.

Along with an upscale hotel on the property, the expansive casino offers 2,500 slot machines.  The slots are 'Class III' which means they are REAL Vegas Style slots.  The tribe used to be only able to offer 'Class II' which looked like slot machines, but were really based on 'bingo'.  Some of the industrie's hottest games can be found here.  The Seminoles have an advantage over other casinos in the state....table games!  Due to an agreement with Florida's Governor, they now are offering table games such as Blackjack, Baccarat, Mimi-Baccarat, Three Card Poker, Let it Ride and Pai-Gow Poker.  This brings a high energy feel to the casino that many other slot parlors are struggling to keep up with.  The casino also has a High-Limit Slot Room, a non-smoking casino and a recently renovated Poker room.

The hotel and casino itself offers many dining options including a Hard Rock Cafe.  The Blue Plate is the properties answer to the diner and offers food 24/7.  Council Oak is the high end steakhouse on the property and offers a great Sunday Brunch.  If you are on a tight budget and still need to eat, there is a food court with all kinds of affordable options.

Attached to the hotel/casino is Seminole Paradise.  It's a huge outdoor entertainment complex featuring 23 retailers, 11 bars/clubs,  and 11 great restaurants.  They also have a Hard Rock Live theater offering some great headlining concerts.  The Improv Comedy Club also is a great place to check out.  The man-made lake also offers fountain and laser shows nightly.

While you have all of this excitement around you, there is always a relaxing spot at the hotel's pool.  It's tropical and quite large.  The pool bar/restaurant is located on an island in the middle and offers great lunches.

The property rivals any on the Las Vegas Strip and is the most popular casino in Florida.  The only thing that would make it better, would be if it was directly on the beach.  But, the beach is only about a 20 minute car/cab ride east.
